  • Lokomat ® - system by the Swiss company "Hocoma" - enables doctors to conduct the locomotion therapy of patients with residual phenomena, for example, stroke by using robotic orthoses on the treadmill.
  • The "Erigo" system is aimed to restore the walking function. The training process begins in a horizontal position, later the load increases with simultaneous verticalization of the patient
  • Cooperation with Dr. M. Becker, MD, who specializes in nerves transplantation of upper and lower extremities to restore their mobility
  • Proprioceptive stimulation with device support applies pressure on the vast areas of body/ joints, which leads to slowing of breathing and decreasing of the heart rate. This technique stimulates a deep perception of one's own body - it especially stimulates the muscle tone and joint receptors
  • Orofacial stimulation by Castillo Morales. This is a neuromotor therapy for motor disorders of the speech organs that develops as a result of muscle hypotension or eating disorders which in this case appeared after cerebral damage. The goal of such therapy is to achieve the best support and balance between different components of the oral and facial complexes and other organic systems of the body
  • Multimodal stimulation is the process of reorganization of neurological functions. The technique causes stimulation of "common skills" in the interdisciplinary environment. All approaches are aimed to reach the ultimate therapeutic goal
  • TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) is a stimulation or inhibition of different parts of the brain by using magnetic fields. This technique uses a complex of 2,000 stimulations per session and allows to fight depression, improve sleep, concentration and stimulate other functions that were affected by a stroke. RPMS (peripheral magnetic stimulation) is used to stimulate both spinal cord and nervous system by peripheral stimulation, the musculoskeletal system is stimulated as well
  • R-OKS (Repetitive optokinetische Stimulation) is optokinetic stimulation that uses multimodal activation to treat such complex disorders as multimodal neglect and/or agnosia
  • Forced-use-Therapie is a therapy for patients with unilateral paralysis. The healthy limbs are fixated which allows the exercises to be performed by only paralyzed parts of the body. Studies show that the mobility of the affected limbs is significantly improved in just 2 weeks when performing common movements
  • "Loop table" This is a therapeutic auxiliary tool that allows patient to find release from his/her own weight by using therapeutic procedures. This allows the treatment to be especially gentle and careful in regards to joint system
  • FBL (functional kinematics) teaches patient to observe his/her movements from the side and pay attention to details, so that the patient can evaluate and interpret them. The purpose of this treatment is to learn how to move naturally, carefully and without pain
  • Training on the treadmill using self-weight compensation. This technique is used to restore the motor capacity of the lower limbs. During the procedure patient is freed from his/her own weight with the help of an auxiliary construction - antigravity method
  • Classes are conducted individually or in small groups in order to develop normal perception of the world and also to teach patients how to behave in society so that the greatest possible independence from auxiliary devices and people providing care is achieved

Induced restriction therapy in restoring the motor function

Induced restriction therapy is a concept that helps doctors to restore motor and other types of dysfunction in patients with neurophysiological damages, that appeared, for example, after a stroke. The most significant progress was achieved when this method was applied in restoring function of the paralyzed hand.

Stochastic resonance therapy

Various exercises for movement (locomotion) practices can significantly improve the motor function and also restore gait in patients who have various diseases of the nervous system. However, not always patient's condition allows him/her to begin practicing these exercises. A method of vibration therapy was developed for such patients specifically. It is based on the phenomenon of stochastic resonance of biological systems.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive method that makes it possible to induce depolarization or hyperpolarization in the neurons of the brain. TMS is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction that creates weak electric current by using rapidly changing magnetic fields. This causes certain activities in specific parts of the brain (or brain in general) to be activated with minimal discomfort for the patient. This gives doctors an opportunity to study the functioning of the brain. During clinical trials one of TMS variants was used as a tool for treating various neurological and psychiatric diseases, such as stroke, migraine, Parkinson's disease, hallucinations, tinnitus, depression and so on.


Darsonvalization is a therapeutic procedure that uses AC high voltage carried through a gas-filled glass electrode. Impulse sinusoidal currents of high frequency (from 110 to 400 kHz) and voltage (~ 20 kV) are used during the procedure. They have very low power (within 100-200 mA).

Audiovisual stimulation

Audiovisual stimulation (ABC) is a special method of psychotherapeutic work with the patient. It is actively used as part of the rehabilitation program after a stroke. The aim of the method is to create an individual light and sound space which is structured according to objectives of therapy. A pulsing sound and light tunnel, headphones and glasses with built-in LEDs are used to activate such sound space.


Gymnastics is one of the most long-standing therapeutic practices in neurorehabilitation. It is widely used in the rehabilitation of patients after a stroke, spinal injuries and so on.

Lymphatic drainage massage

Lymphatic system almost always suffers if brain or spinal cord were damaged by a disease. Patient's low mobility during the first days of rehabilitation and severe stress, that often accompanies disease, lead to a slowing of the lymph flow and, as a consequence, to a deterioration of the person's well-being.

Basal Stimulation

The method of basal stimulation includes rehabilitation procedures that are used for treating various severe motor disorders. It is also used in treatment of defects of a complex structure. This method helps children, adolescents and adults who perceive the outside world only through their bodies. Therapy stimulates their own perception of the body by supporting their personal development and helps them to orient in space and time.

Sensory Integration by Aires

Dysfunction of sensory integration (SI) is a neurological disorder caused by the inability of the brain to process certain information from the body's basic sensory systems. These systems are responsible for visual signs (sight), sounds (hearing), smells (sense of smell), taste (sense of taste), temperature, pain, body position and movements.

PNF-method of proprioceptive neuromuscular simplification

Proprioceptive neuromuscular simplification or PNF is the type of therapy based on the principles of functional human anatomy and neurophysiology. All muscles, joints, ligaments have proprioceptors that respond to stretching or contraction. Proprioceptors are peripheral elements of sensory organs. They located in muscles, ligaments, joints, and skin. They indicate that all these parts of the body work by producing muscle contractions and by changing position of the body in space. With the help of certain manipulations of these receptors, it is possible to stimulate, initiate and facilitate any movement. The PNF method includes series of exercises that help to stretch painful and tense muscles in the body.
