Recovery of everyday skills
In rehabilitation, the restoration of everyday skills, such as personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and moving, are important. In addition to the basic functions, complex functions should be restored, such as cooking, housekeeping, writing by hand or printing.
During the recovery of patients after a stroke special attention is paid to the selection and development of devices that simplify the daily life of the patient (wheelchair, bed on rollers). These also include additional handrails in the bathroom, thickened doorknobs, special devices that help the patient to get out of the bath, to dress and so on. They also help the patient to restore his/her sense of self-confidence and independence.
